When you purchase your pet insurance remember to read the small print and dont assume the more you pay the more you get. For instance Argos & Asda both offer pet insurance that is pretty good and you can get discounts by doing it online. Some vets offer their own (recommended) insurance but in all honesty it can be a little expensive. I myself use Argos for my cat and i think i pay about £60 for the year and that covers for all things even payout if he dies(god forbid). When buying food for your pet don't be tempted to buy supermarket cheapest stuff as it is very low on what your pet really requires. Mind you their own brand name i.e Asda/Tesco/Sainsbury's OWN brand is pretty good for the money.
